The Skateboard/Artboard fund-raising auction for the benefit of the WE-THE-SCHOOL project ran on ebay from 21-27 March 2014 and showcased a line-up of some 20 skateboards/artboards designed and painted by artists and designers from across the world who were ready to donate their work for a good cause. All proceeds of the auction go to financing a skatepark for kids in rural India.

An Element of the Universal – OUBEY@AotearoaNewZealand

The fourth stopover of the OUBEY Global Encounters Tour in Aotearoa New Zealand was an extraordinary cross-cultural event. A video documentation about it will go online at the end of May. In the meantime we’re publishing this short report to share some of our experiences with you.

“We need many more such people who strike out on new ways of thinking – and who aren’t afraid if some label them as weirdos” says Gabriele Fischer, editor-in-chief of the business magazine brand eins in her foreword to the latest edition, citing OUBEY as one such figure. It’s a good point of departure for the special theme of this edition – originality.

On its fourth stopover the Global Encounter Tour touches down at the other end of the earth

So far the Website and the Newsletter have been the two main channels of news and information about the MINDKISS Project. But we now have a third interactive channel with the launch of OUBEYs own Facebook page two weeks ago.

A three minute short film has been made especially for the Vienna stopover which offers unusual insights into some of the key elements of OUBEYs art.

In March 2012 we said our first thank you in this column. Back then we were delighted to announce over 500,000 page views in the two years since oubey.com first came online.

The Berlin exhibition of the OUBEY Global Encounters Tour from 21-23 March really overtopped all expectations. Over 400 guests came alone for the opening night on 21 March at the Berlin Direktorenhaus.
