OUBEY MINDKISS Book Presented at “SAGMEISTER: Another Exhibit about Promotion & Sales Material” Show at mudac Lausanne

If you would like to get a closer look at the OUBEY MINDKISS book, you may do so at the museum shop of the mudac Lausanne.

This experience, both visual and haptic, may be combined here with the oppportunity of being able to get a more in-depth perception of the world that makes up Stefan Sagmeister’s creative and sophisticated designs. Up until 13 June of this year, both OUBEY and Sagmeister will be available for a close-up display.

Man, don´t get angry

The name might not be familiar to you, but everyone probably knows this board game, in which one player annoys another by sending him back to start just before he reaches the next goal or perhaps when he is just a few moves away from winning the whole game. There are a lot of games that work like this, including Ludo, but only this one has the German name "Mensch ärgere dich nicht", which, as the title suggests, means “Man, don’t get angry”. Whoever thought out the name must have had either a great sense of humor or pedagogical intentions! Or maybe both?

Künstler sind wie Wolken

Wieso wird ein Mensch Künstler? Was treibt ihn oder sie dazu an, aus sich selbst heraus etwas schaffen zu wollen oder gar zu müssen, was Kunst genannt wird? Und wie hält man diese Existenzform, denn das ist sie, aus? Was unterscheidet Künstler – neben ihrer besonderen Begabung - von all den vielen anderen Menschen, die sich zwar für die Kunst begeistern, aber in einer anderen Welt leben als diejenigen, die diese Kunst erschaffen?
