An Unexpected Encounter With Arts in Paris
-
Something as amazing as the “Leviathan”, by Anish Kapoor, you will most likely only get to see once in life – at least in combination with the congenial atmosphere of the Grand Palais in Paris. Here it is on display only for a short while at the Monumenta 2011. Monstrous in size, this sculpture consists of three gigantic spheres merging together while extending into three directions of the vast room in which it is located. Depending on the lighting conditions, the spheres change color.
One fails to describe the impressions it leaves you with, given the sheer magnificence of this overwhelming, awe-inspiring monstrosity, when experiencing it at first hand. These pictures do not pay tribute; you have to see this one in person.
